The Yellow Page – an original wet fly design patterned after the Page in Trout by Ray Bergman.

Yellow Page Wet Fly

This fly pattern was actually in my head for at least a couple years before the combination of opportunity and time finally came together for me to tie it. I love the guinea fowl winged wet flies, and I have always had a fondness for the Page, which is basically a Scarlet Ibis with a guinea fowl wing, featuring a married red stripe in the middle.

My thought was that yellow would look good on the Page, so this is the variation of the Page that I created. The pattern recipe:

Page:

Tip: Gold tinsel

Tail: Yellow duck quill sections

Ribbing: Gold tinsel

Body: Yellow floss

Hackle: Yellow

Wing: Guinea fowl with a yellow stripe, married.
